Embedded within the Kermel® fibers is excellent chemical resistance. This foundation insures that the garments will be durable and easy to maintain. Therefore, GlenGuard garments provide a good structure for chemical and acid resistance.
A three week trial by a Certified Training Safety and Environmental Specialist placed a GlenGuard garment within a 50% sulphuric and spent acid the garment was laundered and showed no signs of wear and tear. Thus, GlenGuard does not only provide excellent safety amongst extreme heat and fire, but it has also proven to be resistant against chemicals.
