Glen Raven Logistics Offers On-Line Quotes

Glen Raven Logistics, a full-service transportation and logistics company located near Greensboro, N.C., has recently added an on-line quoting service to its Web site, representing yet another service enhancement for this fast-growing subsidiary of Glen Raven, Inc.
The new online service allows companies to enter all of the details needed for a transportation services quote. Customers can also dial 800-729-0081 for access to a customer service representative who can provide quotes over the phone.
"Our new on-line quote service recognizes that our customers' require rapid, easy access to our services," said Charlie Edgerton, director of Glen Raven Logistics. "We invite our existing customers and companies that we have never worked with before to visit our Web site and compare our service offerings."
Glen Raven Logistics was founded in the 1960s as Glen Raven Transportation, a division of Glen Raven, Inc. that transported raw materials and finished goods between Glen Raven manufacturing sites in the Carolinas. During the early 1990s, the division expanded its services beyond Glen Raven to other companies needing transportation services, and in the fall of 2006 moved into a 150,000-square-foot warehouse and logistics center and changed its name to Glen Raven Logistics.
Glen Raven Logistics provides less-than-truck load services along key routes in Mexico, Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and California. In addition to transportation, the company provides a full suite of logistic services, including warehousing, consolidation and pick and pack. Glen Raven Logistics also operates an 18,000-square-foot warehouse in Laredo, Texas in support of services into and out of Mexico.
