Glen Raven acquires flatbed trucking company

Glen Raven Transportation has acquired Rhodes Trucking, an Alamance County-based trucking company that specialized in flatbed transportation services. The acquisition includes the company's current customer base along with seven trucks and 20 trailers.
Flatbed service is one of the fastest growing segments of transportation today. Everything from oversized equipment to building supplies can be transported by flatbed trailers, which offer the flexibility for easy loading and off-loading by cranes. The acquisition of Rhodes Trucking allowed Glen Raven Transportation to expand its service offering immediately.
Chad Rhodes, former owner of Rhodes Trucking, has joined Glen Raven in the role of operations manager. Also joining Glen Raven from Rhodes is Mike Murray, who is serving as maintenance manager.
