Temporary Structures that Look Anything But Temporary
From sporting events to tourist attractions and from aircraft hangers to shaded restaurant areas, buildings constructed with fabrics are an essential element of the commercial landscape, offering cost effective approaches for shelter. Innovative and highly engineered fabrics have taken temporary structures to an entirely new level of look and performance.
Our Dickson subsidiary in France is a leader in materials for temporary structures, offering its Sunblock line and LAC 650 SL lines around the world. These products incorporate two important technical breakthroughs—the Lowick System extends the life of Sunblock materials by adding resistance to environmental factors such as sun exposure and the growth of mildew and Cleanguard technology is added to increase stain resistance and improve ease of cleaning.
LAC 650 SL is translucent , Sunblock blocks 100% of light and heat, thus being the most efficient solution for thermic comfort and both materials are flame resistant according to international norms.
Sunblock fabrics are not only high performing, but attractive enough to be incorporated into signature events and attractions. When one of the UK’s leaders in the design and construction of temporary structures was commissioned to build a special events pavilion at the Tower of London, one of the nation’s top tourist attractions, it used gray Sunblock fabrics.
