In a world where increasing numbers of people are online all the time, it had to happen – the collision of clothing and technology.

Long recognized for designs that are as elegant as they are high-tech, Apple has hired former Yves Saint Laurent CEO Paul Deneve to work on special projects. Speculation abounds, but some observers anticipate Deneve’s arrival signals a new focus at Apple on wearable technology.

A recent visitor to the Concept Gallery, Lawrence Coburn, CEO of DoubleDutch, predicted that the future will definitely include this sort of technology, which better accommodates consumers’ desire for constant connectivity. He cited Google Glasses as just one of many examples.
